18 Year Old Machena man Sentenced to 45 Years for Rape

18 year old from Machena jailed 45 years in prison for rape.

Markwell Machena (18), from Machena village was sentenced to 45 years in prison for raping three young girls, aged 2, 6 and 7 who were under his care.

Machena allegedly lured the girls into his bedroom with snacks, tired tyen up and raped them one after another one multiple times between March 20 - 30 .

The mother was away from March 28 to 30 , and when she returned she find he children in distress and she discovered the abuse which led to Machena arrest.

Prosecutor Fatima Tekete who was leading the case reported that the children are receiving medical treatment and psychological support to cope with the trauma.

Machena was arrested and tried on six courts of rape .

Gokwe regional magistrate Stanford Mambanje handed down the sentence with 90 years structured but later on reduced to 45 years.
